Dr. Freedman is a gastroenterologist at BIDMC and a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Vine is a physician who specializes in critical care medicine. He received his MD from Hadassah Medical School at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, completed a residency in internal medicine at Sheba Medical Center Tel Hashomer hospital, and a fellowship in critical care at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center Ichilov hospital. His research interests include mechanical ventilation in ARDS, septic shock, and personalized critical care medicine.
Dr. Meredith Shea is an exercise physiologist specializing in exercise testing and prescription for clinical populations. She has a B.S in Exercise and Sport Physiology from Plymouth State University and a PhD in Exercise Physiology from Springfield College. Her research interests include metabolic dysfunction, exercise intolerance, and exercise testing in clinical and critically ill patient populations.
Dr. Yamin is a Clinical Health Psychologist. She received her Ph.D. from Wayne State University and completed her doctoral internship at the University of Chicago Medicine Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neuroscience. Dr. Yamin’s research interests focus on developing and testing trauma-informed and emotion-focused interventions for comorbid psychological and physical health conditions including recovery from shock and critical illness. In addition, she is interested in developing and testing effective clinical education and training programs for behavioral health and medical professionals.
David was born in Framingham, MA, and grew up in Cohasset on the South Shore. During his undergraduate studies in Genetics at the University of Rochester in New York, David was a volunteer intern with the Center for Resuscitation Science. Following this David worked full-time as a research assistant prior to starting medical school at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. David completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. David is an attending faculty member at the University of Rochester and has special research interests in toxicology and pharmacology.
