Hannah currently a fourth-year student at Northeastern University pursuing a BS degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and Mathematics. She has taken a wide range of curricula and has experience as a tutor and teaching assistant in different mathematics subjects. While at Northeastern, she has also worked as a medical assistant at the Allergy and Asthma Center of Boston, and as a research assistant at KSQ therapeutics, where she participated in immuno-oncology research involving gene editing and CRISPR. Hannah am excited to be involved in emergency medicine research, and to be a part of the team!

Shannon Leland, MD, MPH
Dr. Leland is a physician who specialized in pediatric critical care medicine. She received her MD from Boston University School of Medicine, completed a residency in pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center, and a Master’s of Public Health at Johns Hopkin’s University. She is currently in her final year of pediatric critical care fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her research interests include optimized outcome assessments to advance clinical research in pediatric acute respiratory distress syndrome and sepsis.
Max Meier, BS
Max graduated from Brandeis University in 2020 with a BS in Biology. After a successful year of Brandeis EMS, he transitioned to the Emergency Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he maintained key roles as both an Emergency Department Technician and Emergency Medicine Researcher. Since 2020, Max has contributed to several research projects and continues to pursue a career in emergency medicine in order to provide acute care to underserved and diverse patients.
Helena Romanoski, MS, BS
About Helena
Helena is the CRS Program Manager at BIDMC. Originally from southern Brazil, Helena moved to Boston in 2017 and attended Boston University, where she obtained a BS in Health Sciences & Pre-Med, and subsequently an MS in Management. Her previous experience in research, clinical administration, and project management have stirred a keen interest in the healthcare and life science industries. She hopes to continue exploring those fields with the goal of benefiting the health and wellbeing of the community.
When not at work, Helena loves to go on runs, practice yoga, read, and drink (lots of) coffee.
Dr. Sneha Kannan
Dr. Kannan is a physician specializing in Pulmonary/Critical Care medicine. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from MIT and her MD from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and her Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at the Harvard Combined Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Her research involves studying national pricing and utilization of critical care resources.
