About Tuyen Yankama
Tuyen is originally from Vietnam and has been schooled in the US since 2008. Following her interests to apply math to the study of biology, she pursued Biostatistics at Emmanuel College, followed by an MPH in Epidemiology & Biostatistics at Boston University. Over time, her interests evolved to learning about the context of the data that she analyzes and understanding how it fits into the larger and more complex picture of public health. After various research assistant-ships, she developed a strong interest in clinical research and is thrilled to join the Center for Resuscitation Science. Tuyen is proficient in SAS, R, Mathlab, SPSS, and is learning Stata. Python and SQL are also on her to-learn list. She is currently planning to pursue a PhD in Biostatistics after some work experience is under her belt. Besides loving biostatistics, Tuyen enjoys painting, swimming, playing tennis, and traveling.
