Cassandra Peitzman M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H. is a physician-scientist and health policy researcher whose work focuses on emergency care systems, access to care, and injury prevention. She is an attending emergency physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an Instructor at the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Peitzman received her M.D. from Harvard Medical School, her Ph.D. in Health Policy from Harvard University, and her M.P.H. from the Harvard School of Public Health. She completed her fellowship in Health Policy and Social Emergency Medicine Research at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her current research integrates clinical, geospatial, and population-level approaches to examine the structural determinants of injury and improve trauma response and prevention.
