Dr. Pawar completed his medical school from Seth GS Medical College in Mumbai, India and then moved to USA to begin his residency in Internal Medicine at University of Kansas Medical Center. He worked as a hospitalist in a medically underserved area near Nashville, TN. There, while working in an open ICU, he developed interest in the field of Critical Care. He joined BIDMC as a hospitalist and became a part of CRS as a research fellow to work in the field of cardiac arrest and sepsis.
