About Marcel Casasola
Dr. Marcel Casasola is a Research Fellow in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Marcel is originally from Peru and completed Medical School at San Marcos National University in Lima. Following his passion for Research and Public Health, he attended the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research at Harvard Medical School and is an active member of the Illinois Peruvian American Medical Society helping them bring medical aid to poor communities in Chicago and Peru. Marcel’s main research interest is related to the role of immunity in several disorders including sepsis, ARDS and peripheral nerve disorders. Marcel has a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory aspects of clinical trials in emergency settings and collaborates with the new study applications for the Center of Resuscitation Science, the Disaster Medicine Fellowship and the Emergency Department at BIDMC.
